Eka Chemicals, Industrial Chemicals, are the
world’s leading producer of colloidal silica.
Our special colloidal silica water dispersion,
Bindzil®, is produced and distributed
worldwide, adapted and developed for a
variety of applications. Industrial Specialties is
part of Akzo Nobel and operates within the
Eka Chemicals business unit.
Our business is divided into industry
applications serving the specific needs of five
major colloidal silica user groups: coatings,
construction, electronics, foundry, and select
industries. Each segment and associated R&D
resource is focusing on providing the market
with the highest quality colloidal silica.
We can supply colloidal silicas in grades
ranging from five to 100 nanometres with
varying pH, concentration or charge.We also
have a wide range of specialty grades like
ammonia and alumina stabilised colloidal silica
as well as we can offer our Bindzil with a
silane treated surface.
